    Shumate scales are often Bakelite but I know that decorative celluloid scales aren"t uncommon. The pictures make me believe those might be original Bakelite scales but I certainly can't be sure. Do you know which Shumate model it is that you have there?

    It is a model #256, and came in a Shumate box for a #012. The pins lack any uniformity, which is part of the reason I think the scales are not original.
