Default My "Visit to Portland Razor Co." video now on YouTube

    Hi everyone,

I went to Portland Razor Co. a couple of weeks ago for their Straight Razor Care and Honing Class and had a great time. Scott, Alex and Hunter are a nice group of people and are just now opening the Portland Shave Shop.

We took some video which you can find on YouTube here: https://youtu.be/gwWz_1J3nUc

Hope you enjoy it. I'll be posting Pt. 2 next week.

BTW: Yes, I own Majestic Shaving Company, but I am not professionally affiliated with Portland Razor Co. in any way, nor do I sell any of their razors.

Good people, and a fine product. I only hope the best for them going forward.

What a great video! Its always exciting seeing local (to me) artisans at work in this day and age of mass production.

I checked out their razors on offer, and it seems all (or many) have a notch on the spine at the tip. I am guessing this is just a decorative thing?

When will Part 2 be available. Part 1 was interesting, especially since I have one of their razors and like the product and the people. Unfortunately, I am geographically challenged to make a trip to Portland to their honing classes, plus I might not have money to get home. They make beautiful razors and are very prompt in getting work done and responding to questions.
