Thanked: 4Antique Shaving Kit ID, any ideas?
Hi,
My dad gave me an antique razor set and I have no idea who made it or its value. On the bottom of the kit, the numbers 176 appear, but part of the bottom has been cracked and lost. I assume it means 1760-something. The only identifying mark I can see on the blades is mark, which is shown. It is on all four blades. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanked: 636I.M.O., everything was collected separately. The only items with a connect are the razors. The pipe logo was used by George Wostenholm but by another much earlier manufacturer used it also. The box may have been custom made to hold the items many of which are newer than the razors.
That's my guess.

Man, those razors and the box are really old and really nice.
Tortoise?

Thanked: 4It is a very nice set, I just do not have a need for it. I would rather someone who can appreciate it enjoy it. It is very cool though.

You might consider putting it in the BST here in an auction format.
This would be the place to get it to an appreciative new owner here, I believe.
