Thanked: 0Straight Razor ID
Hello, sorry this if this is in the wrong place; first post on a forum.
I was wondering if someone could identify these razors I picked up today.
One appears to be a Sheffield E.M Dickinson Invicta Coronet and the other one with the box appears to be a Solingen Kaufmann razor with a mark that looks like two S either side of a flower.
I'm not looking for a valuation, just a simple idea of when and these were made and by who.
I've been considering starting straight razor shaving and with the local antique place closing this seemed like a great way to get started.
Thank you

Welcome to Straight Razor Place!
There is a Dickinson in the Straight Razor Place razor database. Your example looks to be in good shape.

You will probably need your razors to be honed by a pro, maybe lightly restored. If you add your general location to your profile we might be able to recommend someone in your area/region. Could you post pics of the full blade? It would people to assess and advise you on how much work the razors may or may not need.

Thanked: 0I added in my location of Canberra, I have been in touch with a guy here who makes and sells razors. Hopefully he can restore these razors for me
Here are some better photos of the Kaufmann.
Here is the E.M. Dickinson. It appears to have a chip in the nickel plating or whatever shiny coating is on it.
They both have what seems to me like very hollow grinds.
