    Default Some Information Please

I obtained this straight razor in a storage unit auction. The manufacturer is Joseph Smith & Sons and says its from Sheffield, England. There is an etching on the blade that says "The Prince's Own". It is also in what appears to be the original box (or an old box that it fit in to) with the markings, "Wade & Butcher - Sheffield".

I know very little about the razor. I've attached pictures. Is this authentic and what era is it from? Thank you for your help.

That's when they went in business. Don't have an ending date.

If it is marked Sheffield England it will have been made after 1891, which is when they were required to put the country of manufacture on them.
