Thread: What day of the week is this?

I've just bought three razors off the bay (local to Australia) and one of them was not clearly identified in the sale photos, but as I wanted the pair of Rodgers that were the main deal I took a punt. It turns out to be a Weiss & Son blade from about 1840-1850 as near as I can tell (but I'm quite willing to be proved wrong). The thing I'd like help with is the spine etching. It looks like it could be a day of the week, but is it in some language I'm not familiar with or can I not see the wood for the trees?
There have been Weiss 7-day sets on the market from time to time but none have had pictures of sufficient resolution to check the lettering styles.
