    Default 7/8 W&B

I have shaved with it 4 times since I have got it back from Joe C. I think the edge may be dulling as I am noticing it getting stuck to my face. Should I take it to the hone or pasted strop? I am nervous because it is a wedge razor.

If it's getting stuck to your face perhaps your angle is a little shallow? Like flat?

Sorry. Must be a little giddy from watching the Braves try to finish winning 5 in a row.

Just 4 shaves - hm, I don't know... These don't have super hard steel but still seems a bit abnormal. Maybe more aggressive linen (say 60 laps) and leather (60 again) first, then (if this is not enough) some chromium, and again leather.

No offense, but I am not aware if you have lots of experience honing, and a wedge is a different animal to begin with...

I guess you have to start at some point (if you want to hone yourself), and it's definitely better to just touch up to keep it sharp than wait until dull and then have to get it sharp. My reserves are based on the likelihood that you may make the edge worse, and then it will be harder to deal with it

    Good luck

I managed to give it 4 passes on a swaty hone at a 45 degree angle heal leading. That is all I am going to do. Tomorrow I will strop 60/60 or 40/60 and see where I get. I am pretty sure that I honed just fine on the swaty. I actually found it easier to use than the norton but that may be because it is a fine grit.

I had a less than desirable shave today again with the W&B stropped on the honey brown strop 40/60. I just gave it 10 passes on some .5 chronium. I cant shave iwth it until tomorrow or the next day
