Thread: F.W. Engels razor question.

So my question is, do you believe this HIZ is a Special? Maybe a limited run?
Another question that maybe be known, was it only a few factories making blades? I've noticed there are a lot of razors that look the same (i.e. Same blades and scales) but have different names stamped on them.

Many of the Barber Supply companies and hardware stores carried razors made in Germany and stamped with their company name.
I have 2 razors that have SBS for Standard Barber Supply instead of the FWE in the cloverleaf. They are not marked as Engels, just Made in Germany, but the blades are identical to the FWE Special.
Think of them like corporate logo items, with a big enough order you could get your brand or name put on almost any razor.
