Thanked: 0AIR BRAND straight razor - solingen Germany - help
Looking to buy an "AIR BRAND" straight razor. Marked Solingen Germany on the tang. I can't find any history or background on this brand of razor. Anyone know anything about them?

Hi. I have never heard of that brand. Is it new or vintage? How did you come to want that certain razor? Good luck.

Thanked: 3227A good clear photo of the razor and a close up of the stampings may help.

there are so many razors branded with the hardware store, or barber supply names out there, and made by one razor maker in Solingen that its hard to find out some info, so getting to who made it might be tough unless you find out who was selling it, just another thought, Tc

I have heard that "air brand" was a short run of test razors by one of the major german razor companies. I don't know which company or the date.
They don't say Solingen on the tang, they just say made in Germany. People claim that they are good shavers. They appear to be from the 20th century.
