4/8 French point Wade and Butcher
I found this razor at an antiques fair this morning and snatched it up because I've never seen an early Wade and Butcher like this before. It is a 4/8 French tip with Sheffield on the stamp.
It looks like it will clean up nicely.
I haven't been able to scare up any info or pics of other examples of this razor. Did I find something unusual?

Not saying you did not find a oddity but I would swear that just the other day I saw one of those either on here or FB. Guy had bought several razors and a 4/8 W&B was in the group and I am pretty sure same point and all. I could also be out of my mind, Ill do some digging. Sweet score on your part either way

Nice find! I saw a W&B with a French point on eBay that ended a few days ago. It was a FBU and my guess is that at some point it was reground.

yeah, in my mind the W&B are choppers or at least wide... but ithis one seems nice that french point will need some work if not chopping though
nice find!honing my mind...
