    Edge was far from straight. It was chipped and some areas were folded over. Keen did not even come into the equation. It needed repair honing.

    IMHO there's not a ton of difference in them. I would suggest picking the one that is most pleasing to your eye.
    Chances are high you'll be good with either!

    Matt,

    I have had a parade of Wackers, Revisors and Austs pass though my humble shave den. All had to be honed. The Wackers are the prettiest of the three, especially the models in horn scales and fancy etching.

    The Wackers took a good edge and were good shavers. The edge on my revisors was silky. The Austs were also good shavers after I honed them.

    If I were to choose one, however, it would be Revisor, even though all of mine came from Germany with a messy edge that was far from shave ready. The Revisor took a beautiful edge, though.
