Ordered a SRP TI razor...
DOH!! Failed my resistance check and ordered the SRP TI limited today... I've been looking at it for a while now and was doing ok resisting the purchase till this afternoon... oops!!
Hope it shaves as good as it looks as this will be my first "New" razor. Getting some more electrical tape so I don't wear it down getting it shave ready... or for the heck of it... send it to Lynn for a first hone
Anyone comment on the shave from this puppy?

Thanked: 346They are excellent shavers. Kinda plain looking, but the blade is top-notch.

I have 2 of them. One came almost shave ready and the other took quite a bit of work. My feeling about them is that if you compare them to the other TI silver steel razors the club razors are lighter in the blade department. I also find comparing them to my other 7 TI's that the club razors do not hold an edge as long as the others. Now don't get me wrong here I'm not saying they are not quality razors because they certainly are its just my opinion comparing them to other TI's of equal quality that I own. They are still superior to the Dovo's out there any day of the week.

Chef,
this was my first brand new razor as well, good choice. i had mine sent to Lynn for the honing, in fact, if you contact them before they ship they will reroute it to him, once i forgot emailed them and the we worked it out... great cusomer service.
the razor shaves wonderfully and had been a breeze to touch up with either a yellow coticule or a hunsrueck/thuringer stone.
you should really like the razor.Be just and fear not.

Update... ARIVAL!!!
Whoot I got off early enough to get my box from the post office
I got it open before I left the post office, and realized what I was doing just in time NOT to open the box in the post office Nothing like a felony to end the day So I waited till I was in the car haha.
I'm #149 Oh well 1 off from a cool number. Anyway, just for giggles and from advice here I went ahead and stropped the blade on my pasted strop. 10 on the 1.0 side and 10 on the .5 side. Than 20 on the hanging strop, showered, and did 10 more strokes on the strop.
This puppy shaved like it was honemeistered, just glided around my face with little care. I'm very pleased with the results. I'll get a pic when I can.
Will be interesting to see how this does in the long run, some seem to shave better after a few shaves and good stroping.
I'm glad I pulled the trigger on this purchase

Thanked: 5it's a felony to open a package in the post office?!?
once upon a time, i received a razor that had been charged customs and i wondered why because i shouldn't have had anything more than $10 coming and the package said "Value: $50.00" so i opened it right then on the desk to see what the heck it was. it was a razor i won on ebay for under $3.00 that the seller valued for $50.00 for some unthinkable reason.

Depending on local laws and who is near you, holding a razor (or other bladed "Weapon") in a govenment building can get you some time in the pokey.
I tend tward the "paraniod" side and don't do anything that can draw that kind of attention to myself. California looks for any reason to slap you with a felony, thus negating your right to own a firearm. So when it comes to some things... I play paranoid.
