I'd be interested to hear if the regrinds help with your shaving.
    Enjoy!

Update on this French point: The factory edge on this particular razor was good, but I like a little keener of an edge. So I reset the bevel and went up to the Nani 12k. I wanted to see what a standard keen edge would shave like. To the shave, it was spectacular! The ease of the razor with the grain as well as against was effortless and close left me BBS! I would say the re ground geometry is way more accommodating for my beard. Couldn't be a happier shaver, now to put a Jnat edge on her...

I am glad this worked out for you. I love my Koraat and would buy another tomorrow if Mrs Porl would allow it.

    Congrats.

    Congrats.
Thank you! I have had them for a very long time before sending them all back to have this major work done. I am so relieved to finally be able to shave with these beauties! I will be loading the other 6 Koraats soon!!!

Absolutely beautiful razors. Sooner or later I'm going to have to save my pennies and buy an artisan straight. I love my vintage stuff but I keep promising myself that sooner or later I'm going to indulge in something different and a Koraat is a definite possibility.

You won't go far wrong with a Koraat.

Thank you! I would encourage you to go with Koraat same as Porl here. Not only do they look really good, less expensive if you buy from His website (if you can control yourself with the blade options of course), they are fantastically easy to shave with, really well balanced, easy to hone and easy to strop!
