Thanked: 3Salt Lake B. S. Co
Picked up a razor this morning. Does anyone have any info on Salt Lake B. S. Company?

From the little I could find there was a "Karr's Conquest" razor made in Germany and sold by Salt Lake Barber Supply Company. There are some newspapers with Salt Lake Barber Supply Company mentioned in them but you need a membership to some newspaper archive websites view them (and I don't have that). However, it looks like it's mentioned in newspapers from as early as 1895 and as late as 1936. I'm waiting for input from someone I have in mind, we'll see if he chimes in.
Also a "Karr's Kwality" Scotch Shell strop seems to have been available from Salt Lake B.S.
Welcome to the forum, by the way! Well, you've been joined for a while now but no posts - nice razor first post! Also, cool that it's a razor from your area.Last edited by xiaotuzi; 07-30-2017 at 01:46 AM.

Living in Mormon country myself, I couldn't help but think that a turn-of-the-century razor from SLC wouldn't have much use on it or was a gag gift

I had a strop sold by them. It was a black sealskin strop and is one of the few pieces I regret unloading.
It was a great strop. No matter how many men you kill you can't kill your successor-Emperor Nero
