Default A very bueno straight razor find

So I was looked no for cheap razors to practice restore/honing and I ran into this bueno razor. Removed the scales and cleaned them some now I am hand sanding blade. At the moment it is just at 180 grit but thought I would ask if anyone has information on this razor. I picked it up for 20$ mostly because it said bueno if I am honost. Other side has "quality barber s.co. Chicago, ILL. M.I Germany"

Guessing it was made in Germany and sold in Chicago but that is about all I know. Here are pictures of it in current state.

I REALLY wish you had read up on restoration before you jumped right in...180 grit is WAY too rough. 400 would have been plenty. It is going to take you a while to get those deep scratches out. I commend you on wanting to restore, but ask around before you get into something you haven't done before...it will save you a LOT of headache!

well It isn't my first time sanding, have sanded 2-3 other razors before. Just started at 180 to get out a bunch of small pitting. Will move to 280, 400, 800, 1000, 1500, 2000, then Mothers polish

Well then. Good luck and have fun with it then. Was just going to offer a bit of experienced advice, but you probably know better than I.

That's a great looking razor! Nice score! I don't have any information about the maker though sorry.

Nice razor, looks to be in a good shape.

180 grit though... ouch! Get your wrists ready for a real tough workout. I'm looking forward to see your results.

Update on the bueno razor. I am happy with finish as of now, razor didn't want to close center but a tad bit of sanding and a washer fixed he problem. I think the edge is not flat so will mess with that later. I really need to order some silver pins however ;(

I don't usually like those color scales but on this razor they seem to work. Very nice.
