    No need for steel wool and WD-40.

    As for paste, Chromium Oxide.
    .5 micron. ( Razor grade )

    Don't clean in the closed position, open and protect the edge with tape , as described.

    They look to need very little to get them up and going again.

    Brasso should work OK, but as said, see what else they got.
