Thanked: 0ProtecTool from Lee Valley Tools
Hi. I just bought a ProtecTool Wax from Lee Valley Tools which is based on microcrystalline waxes (same as renaissance wax). Just wondering if it's safe to use it on my Wacker Razors for storing and rust protection (all carbon steel and buffalo horn scales)? If anyone used it in past I'll appreciate your response. Thank you.

I use the Renaissance brand wax on all my razors and am very pleased with it. No problems with rust or any other issues. don't have any experience with Lee Valleys brand but i would think if it's made for tools it should work for razors as well.

Thanked: 0Thank you. Unfortunately I couldn't find Renaissance wax anywhere. It used to be sold by Lee Valley but not anymore.

Amazon. The Sears Roebuck of the 21st century. If it can be had, they have it.

Thanked: 0Thank you. I received it today. Renaissance has a different content, colour and smell than ProtecTool. So I think it's different.
