I am looking for a Stainless Steel Razor
Gentleman I am looking for a Stainless Steel Razor that has been Ice Tempered. I let a nice 8/8s round point slip away a few years ago and have began longing for one. I would like to know what brands are good, I am looking at old and new. It will be my daily shaver.
Thanks

Thanked: 1587Hi Mason,
I don't know what your budget is, but take a look at the friodurs at the shaving shop.
I bought a Henckels Friodur from John Crowley - it's my best shaver.

Thanked: 5The Friodurs are pretty much the only SS 8/8 you'll be able to find. They are easy to get and have a great reputation. Dovo sells some SS but in smaller sizes. There are the HESS razors that come up occasionally on ebay but they are 5/8 at best and rarely is super condition (or maybe they are just ice tempered?). The selection for a SS is kinda limited

Someone has some NOS Dovo 4/8 from the 70's a while back, although I don't know if there are any of them available. Might do a search.

If you keep an eye out on Eboy you'll see that there are Dorko's, Puma's and DDs that are stainless. They come up every now and then.
