    Default western kamisoris with long tail

    hi,

    since 1 year, i looking for these kamisoris with long tail, but i did not find any. do you know if it has a specific name? or they are made from tamahagane, that's why there is not so many?

    You mean something like that?
    If that is what you are after, there are two identical models in existence: Hoshitombo 8000 and Biken 8000.
    They are not so common but they are out there.

    No, not one of them. The tails are too long, the scales look weird, they are some oddball 13/16 size, barely a half hollow with an incredibly short cutting edge. Takes twice as long to shave with them. No good at all..

    Ebay has a few Hoshi Tombo 5000, these are 1/4 hollow and are made from Yazuki steel I believe.
