Thanked: 4942Great Starter Dovo
Hi Guys,
I have been honing up dozens of these lately and I have to tell you; For an entry level razor, you can't go wrong here. This 6/8 Dovo hones up nicely and is also a very nice shaver. Takes a great edge. Not a bad price either. Contrary to recent threads about Dovo's bevels by self proclaimed honing guru's, these simply hone up very well and are very classic looking.
Enjoy.

At least that's what it says on the blade.

For a simple razor it has always been a favorite. I use this one with white or black scales in my sets as well as it's near twin brother with slightly different etching.
Not as pretty as the Tortoise model but the blade looks very similar to me.

Well... Something more to put on my wish list I guess.
I have a couple Wapi's coming so I best take it easy for a little bit. I never thought this would become such an obsession! LOL

Thanked: 335Well sure, it's a "best quality". Whaddaya expect? Don't stand still honemeisters, I'm nearly on your heels; I think I may have achieved a bevel. There's no telling how far this run will take me.

My first straight was a Dovo Bismarck and I have to say it is the easiest to hone in my rotation and keeps the edge second only to the TI I have.
Dovos are great!

That Dovo Classic Special 6/8 was exactly what I started with at the beginning of the year, honed by Lynn. It still shaves great, and is still in my rotation to this day.
