Default Wade and butcher eBay find

Picked up this nice little razor for 20$ and it cleaned up very nicely with mothers. Didn't have time to hone it but did a tad on 3k stone after mothers and it appears like it will hone easily. Cleaned scales with 000 steel they were a bit nasty, might take tiny brush and paint the writing special on scales black later

I love the Wade and Butcher Specials! I have about 8 IIRC. I have the gold you need for the scales in pen form dab it on and wipe excess off with a hard backer and paper towel.
The paint pen is yours if you would like it.
Those are wonderful shaving razors, nothing truly special about them they just shave nice.

I have a few friends who enjoy painting I will probably just go with what I can find at their house. If I can get good 12k edge on it I will start trying to maximize my coticule edge on this razor, should be fun

No worries it's here if you ever need it. I've done I think 3 with it. Plenty to go around. They are great with 12k edges: ) enjoy it Sir.

I have a couple "Specials" and they're good blades. Looks like yours is in great shape. Painting the scales will really bring it back to life.

Update on the razor. Have not added paint yet but it has finally made it through the hones. First shave test it was close but not all there, second try was today and shave was amazing. Went on 3k, 5k, 8k then oozuku for this razor, looks like it will be added to the rotation

    $20 before or after shipping?

Wow, very nice razor for the money!! This is what I was asking about in another thread. That would have gotten a few times that much a couple of years ago. I paid $25 for rusty lesser known name brand at a shop a few months ago.
Would look great painted. I would be worried about making a mess of it though.
