Here's some more. Did the pin test. Ivory smelt plastic(fake) tortoise smelt of hair.(guessing horn)

You will eventually be able to tell without using a test which is which....normally, if in doubt, testing like that and potentially damaging what might turn out to be genuine Ivory or Tortoise, is not the best way to determine.
You guessed correctly with regard the two razors I posted, the top was a Heljestrand Mk. 32 in genuine tortoise, the bottom was an Elliot razor in faux tortoise....good for you, new to the game and you got it right, trust your eye....great find though on the razors still.
