Thanked: 19Infested Razor?
Hi All,
Possibly a strange question, but is there something that can live in/eat plastic scales? I have a few vintage razors, all with plastic scales, and recently one of them has started crawling with white, pinhead-sized bugs. Every time I see them, I wipe them all away, but about half a day later they're back. My other razors have started to have a few as well, though not as many as the one. I don't see any damage to the scales (or the blade, for that matter). Any input?
Thanks!Last edited by ffourteen; 11-07-2017 at 11:38 PM.

I would give the entire razor a soak in Barbicide for 10 minutes.
If they come back then it is not the scales. The infestation is originating some other place. If you don't care where you are, you are not lost.

Thanked: 14I've never heard of paper fleas. Are the found only in certain areas or are they everywhere?

Move them to a different location, after you clean the razors. Clean the other location too.

Spray them down!
Seriously, some of that organic kitchen spray.
If the scales are horn, those beetles still live today....Just saying!
