The Dating Game
Slow Sunday, so I have decided to throw up a few pics of the English Razors in my collection. There are 12. I have them pictured chronologically top (oldest) to bottom (youngest). I am no expert, this is my best guess. I am always curious to hear from the community if they agree (or not) w/ my order. I believe that most scales are original to the razor. Each pic has four razors. I always appreciate your comments. Here goes.
Group A:
Top: "Dip at Toe" Horn scales. Unknown Maker. Mid 1780's to late 1790's
Middle Top: Harwood and Co. Horn Scales. Cast Steel. Late 1790's to Early 1800's.
Middle Bottom: Unknown Maker. Horn Scales. Warranted on tang. Early1800's to 1820's.
Bottom: W.Greaves and Sons on Blade. Sheaf works on Scales. Cast Steel on Tang. 1820's to 1830's

Middle Bottom: Joseph Rodgers. Mid to late 1850's.

I have close-up shots of each razor's tang for all 12 so if anyone is interested seeing these please let me know. I will post them.

Very nice collection of some real old Sheffield blades. I would love to have some from the 1700's but my wallet will only allow me to afford back to early to mid 1800's.
