Looking for recommendations on a new SR
I am thinking of buying a new straight razor. Most of my razors are vintage, but I would like to buy a new straight razor, preferably half or quarter hollow grind. Any suggestions?

I'm sure there are many suggestions from users here, just waiting for some pertinent info on what you are looking for: Price range you are looking at, Custom vs production are good details to know

If you're going to spend big green, Robert Williams razors are nice.

The only new razors I have bought are Koraat razors. One complete and two bare blades. Very high quality.
Hyperbole is highly exaggerated.

Many, including me, have had good results with 'Ralf Aust' razors.
For fancier versions some have contacted him direct.

Thanked: 315Besides price range, are you wanting new or modern?
Some razors can be bought as NOS (new old stock). I'm sure they are not cheap though.

How about if your shelling out the funds to check the Movember aution here on the site. A couple really nice customs but you had better hurry and get a bid in. Be sure to read the rules. Or look into Straight Razor Designs. They sell some nice ones and they will be shave ready as with the one you will buy here on the forum.
It's just Sharpening, right?

Thanked: 7Check out Max Sprecher. It’s high end; more than the $300.00 for a Koraat. I’d check out Riga Razor too just for the fun of it, although it may not meet your grind preferences.
