Default Antique Razor Set, Henry Hobson &Compy

I have a very cool set passed down from my grandfather to my dad too me. My grandfather was a US Senater in the 1970s. Charles P Moriarty. I would like to know the history about this set, as I hate to sell it I do have a lot of bills right now...Name: IMG_20171208_161046.jpg

The site leadership does not allow appraisals or valuations here but it does look like a nice set.

eBay will tell you the real value of anything at any given time.

To get the best out of it, you need to be able to take clear pix of the manufacturer's name and the condition of the edges and scales (handles) of each razor.

    Good luck!

6/7 of a set does not have much value.
For what those sell for on eBay you are better off keeping them.
The are not going to pay much for bills. Save them, maybe you can pass them on to someone who will love and cherish them as a family heirloom.

Good info given. Looked like one was busted up beyond repair. As Rez said is my opinion too. Unless your lucky enough to replace the busted razor with the exact one its not worth a lot of money. But being passed down it worth a lot.

The history of the blade rests with your family, to sell it, well Shame on you. And plus it's not particularly valuable any way it's not a complete set. And we don't value for guys coming thru. Learn to shave with them, cause that's what we're here for to help you with that, or put them up to pass along an heirloom someday. Tc

I agree with what has been previously set. It's a heirloom now, don't sell it, you won't get much for it anyway. You don't realize how fortunate you are to have this in your possession.

I've been on a point where I thought about selling a couple of special razors, looking back now I'm glad I didn't, just sayin'
