Valuation of a razor is against the rules here. What maters is do you feel you got a good price. We have a lot of good honers. Watch the threads and posts and send a pm to folks asking about honing. We have a few pros and i think theres a list somewhere but i dont know where. Good luck and enjoy your new Fili.
It's just Sharpening, right?

Check out the hone of the day thread. Everyone posting there is a honer. Be it they do there own or doing it for others. Just watch that thread and you will find a honer.

Thanked: 4826Where are you? You do not have a location listed.
I thing Classic Edge does a fine job and I know three guys in Alberta that do very nice work. In the USA there is Gssixgun and Straight Razor designs. There is also a guy in the UK that is available. There are a lot of guys that mostly hone for themselves, but many of those are pretty happy to set a new guy up.It's not what you know, it's who you take fishing!

Thanked: 4826Straight razor designs is fairly close then.
There are a lot of members in Texas.
You can get stuff to many places in the USA quite quickly by mail too. It seems like a good system. It's not what you know, it's who you take fishing!

Filarmonica razors are some of the easiest to hone unless it has issues like the later ones produced, the one you have appears to have the JMP stamp and I have never seen a bad one.
