Thanked: 96Snail forge beauty
I just got my new Snail Forge 6/8 Wootz steel razor with bone scales. Bruno did a fantastic job. Worth waiting for. Some observations: First it was shave ready with a very nice bevel. The bone scales are the nicest I have seen and the workmanship fantastic. I stropped it only because it is a force of habit. The shave was amazing. Very smooth and irritation free. I am a believer about Wootz steel. I have owned just about every type of steel razors and this is by far the best. I wanted something traditional, no fancy workmanship, just an old time razor and Bruno delivered. If you get a chance, try and get a Wootz steel razor to try.

I have to ask... is that oxidation on the blade?
One man's opinion...

Thanked: 228After using my razor, I usually leave it open for a while before closing it and putting it up. Works for me.
After stropping it on linen of course.
