Size: 28.0 KB Hello everyone.. So I have a few questions about this CV #4.. Backstory) My wife and I wake up a few Saturdays ago and I see my phone in the bed and the screen says "thank you for your order" Uh oh!! I don't have any memory of buying this thru paypal (yep it was one of those nights).. I have quite a few straights and been looking for a CV Viking to go along with my LePrince but I don't need anymore hollows as I have plenty.. I decide to not cancel and pay the piper so to speak.. It comes in the mail the other day and open with anticipation.. First thing I notice is how tiny this razor is compared to the Le Prince. Even the spine and tang are so thin, second thing is it's wicked sharp, and lately is the slight smile and rounded front edge.. I have quite heavy whiskers especially goatee and jaw line area.. I had about 3 days if growth when I tried it and it just about wiped off the whiskers in the easy spots if sideburns, cheeks and neck.
But the true test area as mentioned the razor is so small and light without any backbone it was quite time consuming.. So I am wondering if any of you guys have had the #4 and what you thought and did CV make these in a slight smile style?.. It does not appear to have much hone wear and hard for me to tell if it was grounded down.. Apologize for long post.. thanks, Scott

Looks to me like a previous owner honed the tip out and gave it a slight smile maybe? Most CV I see are straight with square tip or round tip. This looks like it was a square tip to me originally. I do love how sharp these razors can be

It does look like it's been altered for sure.. I just have the Prince as my only other experience with CV's. If this little guys keeps an edge and stays as sharp I won't have any regrets buying it.. Well maybe a few regrets. It's going in the rotation but I'll stick to using on 1 day whisker growth..
