    Default Zepp Straight (safety) razor

I picked up this Zepp straight razor at an antique store. This is a first for me. The Zepp was made by the Safe Straight Razor Co. 1920-1930. (Correct me if I am wrong). It is in very good condition. This is the before photo.

I need to clean it up and polish the blade...as you can see there is some staining, but the edge is in good condition. I will post a post-cleanup picture later.

I seen one of those at a antique store and it was so rusty I just put it back down. Plus the scales being very odd to me, I didn't know what to think about it. Should have picked it up just because it was different but I didn't.

Here is the after picture. The staining came off relatively easily, but there was pitting in the metal of the blade. The scales are gold plated, so I had to go easy on polishing...just used warm water and a soft toothbrush and then a cotton cloth.

That's a beauty, but where do you pull the trigger? Very nicely done.
