Thanked: 3226No I have not. My guess is that M Rubens was a store of some sort in Liverpool That had razors made for them. You might try researching the city of Liverpool for a business by that name.

Thanked: 4827Liverpool was not a common place of manufacture, and razors made there are quite odd. I am guessing this is why Bob had suggested it is likely a business that had razors made with their name on it. They were promotional items back in the day.

Thanked: 3226Yea, Liverpool is known for many things but I doubt it was known as a center for British straight razor production. Sheffield was the most well know center for British straight razor production. OTH the name Rubens seems to have been connected to some businesses in Liverpool.

I concur with Bob and Rez-it was made for a business in Liverpool but was forged in Sheffield.
