Thanked: 1184You have got some investigating on your hands some of which will lead nowhere. The stub tails are probably Sheffield but.......

The Larkin was distributed by Larkin Soap Company 1875-1942, Buffalo, New York, USA. Blade was probably made by Christy Razor Company of Fremont, Ohio, USA.
Probably 1920s.
Johnson Warranted is from Sheffield, England circa 1820 based on the lettering.
Milns of London was a gentleman's shop. No idea who made it, but it was rebranded to have the Milns company name on it. Most likely a Sheffield blade, early 1800s.
? Birks is William or John Birks of Sheffield sometime after 1766.
LYAPPROVED Razor, I don't know.
??? cutlery USA, is a major US manufacturer whose name escapes me at the moment. I've got that razor in storage, but I'm out of town at the moment so you'll have to wait.
Warranted razor could be just about anybody. There were a lot of "lower end" razors in Sheffield that were just marked "warranted". By "lower end" I mean no frills, still great shavers just no fancy etchings, scales, etc. Some people never go crazy. What truly horrible lives they must lead - Charles Bukowski

LYAPPROVED Razor
That should say Universally Approved Razor, Fine India Steel. It should also have a crown with WR underneath it. WR is for King William IV so, 1830-1837.
Google for Crown WR or W crown R and maybe you can find the maker. Some people never go crazy. What truly horrible lives they must lead - Charles Bukowski

? Cutlery Co
Is a Crane Cutlery Co. New York, USA 1896-1940. Rumored to be a Max Klaas (Solingen) company.
I can sleep in peace now without wondering the name of that. Some people never go crazy. What truly horrible lives they must lead - Charles Bukowski

Thanked: 3Unfortunately I can't identify crown with WR underneath - only patina spot.

Thanked: 3795All of your posts are along these same lines of inquiry. Are you using any of these razors?
