Never seen a Joseph Elliot like it. It looks the the sort of straight razor that a character in a Frank Frazetta painting would use. :medvl:

I suppose.....It is also no 'faux frameback', either.
Early hollow-ground. A 'rattler', if anything?
17/16...:hmmm: It must be most heavy, Cheetah!
Well....It is certainly a cool blade!
Got a set of razors that I would now say is the rarest item I have. 7 day set of 32s in tortoise scales

I know what the kanji means. Basically states it's hand forged with hitachi steel. Don't know the maker. Tang has hammer marks. The steel is very hard and the grind is very thin. I'll take it over my iwasaki any day.
Once of my best shavers and I haven't come across another one like it. Something tells me there is something special about it, and not to let it go.
