    Default Masonic Chopper

I have here a Masonic Chopper.
I have not measured it yet but its defiantly an inch or more and really heavy.

It is a Shaw & Sons.

What interests me is that there is a connection with my birth place, Wolverhampton.
I think they operated out of Wolverhampton in the mid 1800's.

My older brother who is a Mason would give anything for this razor but as he keeps on reminding me that he was born in Chelsea London and I was born in Wolverhampton and that some how makes him better than me. Therefore this razor wouldn't suit him, haha sucker

Very nice Joe, not seen a Shaw and Sons before. What size is it?

    Hi Mark,
    I make it 27mm which is 1. 1/16 inches

I also think you get these with a "J" initial before the Shaw & Sons . I could be wrong.

The scales are a really nice brown horn, although warped and cracked on the other side.

    Few more pictures.

That's a beast! Should clean up nicely. The scales and pins look very nice too.
