Thanked: 55What razors have the greatest variation in sales price (Ebay)?
Which razors do you find to have the greatest variation in sales price (on Ebay)? I'm looking at this question (thread) as a way to find some of the better deals by name.
For instance, when I see Filamonica razors the prices are always high so any variation is just due to condition.
When I see F.W. Engels Special razors they are all over the place irrespective of condition. I just bought one for $20 including shipping and yet there is another one currently on Ebay for $120 or something like that and more in-between those two price points. Some of the more expensive ones aren't even the better ones.
Dubl Duck razors are usually expensive, just varying by condition but there is more variation than in Filamonica for instance. So even though they are expensive, if you look hard/long enough you can sometimes find a deal whereas you don't generally find a deal with Filamonica.
What are some fancier looking razors which you might be more likely to find the occasional deal...like F.W. Engels? By "fancy" I'm including razors with attractive scales, bolsters, emblems, etc.
For instance Dubl Duck has the double ducks emblem on some bolsters. F.W. Engels (not the Special model) has the two children emblem on some bolsters.

Thanked: 133Just any lesser known brand razor can be found for really good prices. I like Worcester Torrey razors and you can usually find those for great prices. If you get a decent condition one depending on the week you could probably sell it for more if you wanted.
Otto Deutsch Solingen razors can look fancy and they go for low prices at times.
edit: Hess also a good one to look for that can look fancy and go for good pricesLast edited by Christian1; 04-23-2018 at 02:11 AM.
