Thanked: 0German razor i.d?
Hey everyone,
I've just bought a few razors to try and restore (something to do on the weekends) and I'd like to find the history of one. It's a german razor made in 1912 and has a symbol of a two-headed eagle sitting on a open straight razor, stamped on the tang(see pics). There is a trademark on the blade but its extremely worn and I can only make out the block letter "K" inside an oval, on the same side, there are the letters "FR ?
I can get better pictures on the weekend if needed.
I realise this is a little vague, but if anyone can help it will be greatly appreciated.

Thanked: 174It is Friedrich Ern & Co. - according to the two-headed eagle with a razor. Not to confuse with Carl Friedrich Ern - the one with the famous Crown and Sword mark.

It's Friedrich Ern, indeed. Though the 1912 stamped on the tang isn't a date, it's an internal company number denoting the specific blade pattern or something of that nature.
Here's the same eagle trademark inked on ivory.
