I thought those ancient Chinese razors were actually gardening equipment. Anyway wasn't there someone on eBay etching razors with different company names. It might have been that they were re-etching buffed or reground razors that lost manufacturing marks and calling them NOS or mint. To the OP razor I don't think it is fake. It looks like it was cleaned up, but other than that not fake. I think I still have an old W&B that had a tail that was really thin. I think it was close to 1/16 at the end of the tail and the tang was almost a 1/4 thick.

Your razor is legitimate, 100%. However it may date anywhere from 1790s to 1810s, hard to say without linking it to a manufacturer (this one may never have had a manufacturer stamp). The scales from those periods had all kinds of variations - some even had more curvature than scales from the late 1800s. Curvature in cross section is common for scales from all periods, though some scales from the late 1700s and in particular from the 1810s to 20s did have a more flat cross section. The chisel-shaped section at the tail end is common for the period. I would love to see a pic of the whole blade, but just looking at the posted pics IMO it hasn't been reground, or at least not substantially.

Edit: to address the other questions you had, the thin tang is typical for the period, and the lack of a wedge between the scales is also typical, especially for less high-end razors. Also the bending in the Cast Steel lettering suggests that it was slightly worked between stamping and head treating (you see this a bit in razors from the period as well).
