Thanked: 98This is a shame as there is only one left in stock. If there were hundreds on hand the good-natured man in me would buy one for everyone. The evil natured man in me would buy hundreds for himself though. Alas if it exists on hand come Friday when I go to the shop again I fear it will be mine. Thanks for the help trying to wade through the dark evils of RAD it is nice to see my taste is mutual to many I respect.

Well. It sez on the site that there are 3 in that series.....
"Not far from the headquarters of the Böker Manufaktur in Solingen, Schloss Burg on the Wupper is the landmark of the Bergisches Land region. It is also one of the largest castles in West Germany and the largest reconstructed castle in North Rhine-Westphalia. The glorious history of Castle Burg is inextricably linked with the Duchy of Berg and the Counts of Berg (Haus Berg 1068-1225). We took this opportunity to dedicate a razor series to the three Counts of Berg , symbolizing parts of the three counts' lives and reminding us of the considerable possessions and power of the counts with their impressive 24-carat gold ornaments.
The last Count of Berg, Engelbert II, was also called Engelbert I, Archbishop of Cologne. With his murder Berg went over to the House of Limburg. This splendid razor in 7/8 inches shows Engelbert as Archbishop of Cologne. The degree head of this sound-ground blade made of the best Solingen razor steel and the curved blade back in combination with a handle of the finest horn document the highest elegance and unique quality. Including certificate of authenticity and elegant presentation display with individual serial number."

Thanked: 98Now that the Google and a little fiddling on the keyboard are complete. You sir Sharpton are officially the cause of my demise. I had set for only two razors this month. Now it shall be three more. Two additional to complete the count series and the black gold has a place to sit. This month will be a fun one to the RAD fund...five new razors. Oh well, you can't take it with you but you can shave with it here.

Thanked: 292I like Boker razors as well. I currently have a 6/8 silver steel extra hollow and a 5/8" vintage H Boker made in the USA. I always wanted a 7/8", but until your post, I did not know that Boker even made 7/8" razors. I know they used to make a 7/8" Celebrated, but that was discontinued a while ago.
The razor you have your eye on is a beauty. If it shaves as well as my silver steel, it will be one fine blade. I will have to curtail some other purchases so I can add one of the series to my collection one day.
