    Default Razor Lube

Hi Gents.. Quick question. Since i do not live in a humid region for most of the year i have never put any lubricant on my razors after using, touching up etc.. This past summer here in Northern Lower Peninsula of Michigan was unusually hot and muggy so upon inspection of my razors a few did have some minor water blemishes.. I have decided to start doing the right thing and lubricate all with a small amount of lube... I have hoppes #9, petroleum gel, penetrating oils and the such around but wondering what might be the standard you guys use? Heading to Home Depot shortly.. Any help is appreciated. Thanks, Scott W

Been using Ren wax and haven't had any problems though my house is kept pretty dry. would like to know if any one has used it in a more humid environment with success.

I’m loving on silicone’s here lately, dry silicones are the best! Being you’re a shooter tcmichigander, pick up some of this next time you’re at a big box gun store. I love it - especially on my folding knives and lever guns.

Sounds like you have plenty on hand and don't need to get more.

Hi Jerry... Like yourself i never put anything on my razors and never had any problems..A few weeks ago i noticed 2-3 ball point pen size black spots on my Koraat, likely from shaking my hands off.. I figure its not a big deal to put a quick swipe down the blade.. Scott W
