Thank you for those links, did some reading up to the owners post..
I stand corrected for the most part. I wish him the best and hope that he is indeed successful in creating the quality necessary to represent W&B.
Perhaps someone will stumble upon that steel recipe and bring the reproduction closer to original (though I'd like modern identifying marks).
Anybody have a link to a good thread discussing steel qualities, pros and cons, throughout the centuries?
Just curious.

This is all there site says and it’s said the same thing for like two years so I’m sure it’s not going to happen

The state on South Africa at present and where it's heading they will be lucky if they can make it out alive never mind make a new Wade & Butcher.

I guess we're stuck with our old Wade and Butchers, then.

I hope they get back on track.

I put my name and email address in that page for info and never got a confirmation or anything. it would be a shame not to see this come to fruition. I was so excited to see them reappear. I hope they pull it out and make it happen with the level of quality that we're all used to out of Wade and Butcher.
