Size: 32.2 KB Hello Gentlemen. So ive been curious about the Wilbert Cutlery Co out of Chicago since I bought this Wilbert Elk quite a while ago.. I know from a little research that these were a Sears Roebuck sold razor and made in Chicago from early 1900's to maybe 1920 or so... I dont have a lot of these small 5/8 size hollows left in the collection as i have longer fingers/hands and 6/8-7/8 razors are my comfort zone.. But this one and a small Heljestrand are just too nice and wicked little shavers i keep using them on a regular turn... My question is does anyone know if in particular were these Elk branded Wilberts being turned with Soligen blanks of the time? I ask because ive had a few US razors from this time and a number of Soligens too and this razor is so much like a Henckel's or Boker in terms of looks, feel, flex, super quick to refresh, etc that it reminds me so much of Soligen and not the Americam steel of other razors i have had... Any input is appreciated, thanks, SMW

I assume you’re onto something, I have a very similar looking razor but branded Herbert Robinson, at least I think it was Robinson, maybe Herbert Spencer, I’ll have look.
