The Greatest Tang
The tangs on these huge Joseph Rodgers are a something special. The razors look seems enhanced by the short blade length.
The photos don't do it justice.
Had this one for a long time and thought it was time to unleash the beast.

Thanked: 315Grinder had plenty to hold on to! That is great. Even with the hollow grind you still have plenty of weight if you like more heft to it.

Nice blade! Those wide tangs are great.
I suppose my widest tang is this C. Congreve.
If you drop it, it's your own fault!

Its only an 8/8ths (only) but the thick tang and short blade makes it look Hulk like..

Thanks! I think Max has one, IIRC.
It goes back to the old days of Sheffield steel. Mine is the only one I have seen with the Naylor's celebrated steel proclamation.

It shaves a treat. I bring it out on occasion and give it a few stropping sessions and it shaves wonderfully.
Gee....it has not been honed since 2012? Nope!
I like my 'oddball' razors a lot. Some seem to be of higher quality than bigger, more well-known names. JMO
