Thanked: 110Today was a good day
Hi fella's.. I hope everyone is having a good weekend.. I went to our biggest Antique Mall today to look at over priced items but maybe to find something that i dont need to my cabinet. Ive been here many times and came out with some very minor things.. i e. mugs, barber hone, brush handle, etc.. Never a razor.. Today was no different until i was going through a gentlesmans collection of about 15 old SR"s that were your general beat up and way over priced.. Until i got to this! She was not this clean in the box but was only dirty, no chips, dents, closed tight and by the looks never been on a stone... It is a Geneva 7N and best of all a full 6/8.. He had $75.00 to start and after some friendly back and forth ended at $60.00 with a nice Boker coffin.. After getting home and taking 10min to clean up i am sooo happy!!! Pretty sure it has factory edge which is quite sharp but will put on the 8000/12000 tonight and cant wait to use in the morning.. Thanks for reading and looking at my post.. Take care all!! SMW

A Geneva pyramid. I may have a case around here that matches. Not sure if I gave it away already or not. I’ll look tomorrow morning for you. If I have it and you want it, it’s yours.

Thanked: 315Nice find for sure. Always glad when they just need a little cleaning/polishing instead of a total overhaul! Cool scales.
I've been meaning to get something like the other guys use to condition celluloid scales. Seems like it makes them pop even more.- Joshua

Thanked: 110Thanks for replies guys.. Took it to the 8000 first and then went for a finish on the 1.5x 6 coti (?) that i received a few weeks ago... Been messing around with little thing quite a bit and have not got it dialed in yet.. I did just a minor slurry with a lot of water/ straight h20 after using the little slurry and did not get much beyond where the edge started at... Looks like this little rock is going to take a lot of trial and error before i get the hang of it.. Btw the razor's edge is ready for the front lines after a little time on my SS 12000. Thanks, SMW
