Thanked: 8Wade and Butcher Help
Hello,
I'm wondering if someone could give an approximate age for this Wade and Butcher near wedge. I picked this up for a couple dollars at a junk store. It had horn scales which were broken. Based on my research I'm thinking pre 1891 but haven't been able to dial it in any closer. Apologies if this question has already been answered, if so point me in the right direction.
Thanks

Because it doesn't seem to have any particularly unique characteristics for W&B blades, this is going to be a tough one to fit into any kind of narrow date range. Most likely a late 19th century piece.

Yes, after 1891 it was required to have the country of origin for import, so it was made before then.
