At my gun club's annual election of officer's meeting, the carrot used to get a maximum number of attendees is lunch and a door prize drawing. This one meeting had 112 members attend with door prizes for 115. I was not surprized my name wasn't called: that's just the way things work. I'm beginning to be a bit smug about my typical luck; it's something upon which I can rely, it's like sitting on a rock - you know it won't break under your weight.
Regardless, I'll take 3 chances to support the cause. The virtual check is in the figurative mail.
