Hi,, I bought this razor from ebay, it has no makers stamp and only some etching on the blade and inlay on the scales, the spine is worked too...any ideas of it's origin from these clues ?...oh!..it also says foriegn on the blade etch..i dont know how to add a foto hmmm!!

Unmarked vintage razors are near impossible to tell where they were made, shy of being very distinct. There used to be many many makers. Some sold unmarked blades to be marked by resellers. Barber suppliers, hardware chains and big stores and hotels were amongst those that had blades marked for them. Unmarked blades are not super common but untraceable for the most part.It's not what you know, it's who you take fishing!

Thanked: 0I been looking at antoni and he has done a few scales with flowers...mostly raised, the etching on the blade is quite ornate too
