Thanked: 19Can anyone identify this razor?
Hello everyone,
I wonder if anyone can identify this razor. There is no name, just a mark, which appears to be an eagle carrying a crown in its beak. The etching on the blade says 'Kickuff - Nachschliff' which means 'Kickuff - Re-sharpened' and so I guess is nothing to do with the maker of the razor. The reverse says 'SOLINGEN GARANTIZADO', so it was obviously produced for a Spanish-speaking market. Any clues?
Many thanks!

Thanked: 19Eagle carrying a crown
So, seems no-one recognises this mark... I've cleaned the razor up a bit and taken a clearer picture, so I'll just leave it hanging, maybe one day someone will come up with an answer...

Thanked: 19Seems the answer was staring me in the face... google helped out, seems the marque is 'Crown and Eagle', here is an example from the web:
Seems like a fairly decent brand. Next question, anyone know who made Crown and Eagle?Last edited by Montgomery; 07-21-2019 at 11:21 PM.

Thanked: 19Next clue: was the maker Heinrich Kaufmann? This page mentions the H Kaufmann brands:
STRAZORS.com - all about classic razors - Heinrich Kaufmann, India-Werk, Solingen.
No mention of Crown and Eagle, but look at the scales on that K55K razor...

Wish I had had an answer. I would have given it. Glad you found your answer though. Maybe that will help someone else.
