Thanked: 3215I have seen them for sale on eBay. Surprisingly they don’t sell for all that much, Shipping may be a killer.
Did you see that heel on the Spartacus at 255? Job security, honed a new one just like that, the other day, pretty common. The vintage TI’s were shavers.
Nice Video, I like the drill press setup and the pinning anvil.

Look at all those scales!
A little anecdote, as an inexperienced SR user I messaged TI because I needed replacement scales for a Grelot.
They couldn't send me any scales because they don't sell any separately but offered a kind service where I send them my razor(s) and they would scale them for me.
I said, OK, tell me your price. They included a polish of the razor and everything unnecessary and totaled me for over 300 euros. I lol'd and never contacted them again.

As of 2019 (or 2018), Thiers-Issard may simply leave those wonky heels for the new owner to sort out. A couple of the 6/8" T-I Bison razors came across my hones this past winter. The one blade honed up perfectly while the second one had this exact same, horrible looking heel that I needed to correct. And, let's say I was happy to do so for a $99 T-I deal.

Unfortunately Thiers is owned by laguiole and has been for a while and the quality has suffered.

I watched the interview with Gilles From TI for the first time today. It’s been a long time since I’ve heard the assertion that heating the blade in hot water before shaving makes the razor shave better.
