Default George Wostenholm & Sons IXL know nothing?

I saw this lot on eBay and bought it mainly because of this Wosty.

Does anybody know anything about this one? I could not find another single example of it anywhere. It looks like an 8/8 with a pretty nice etching on it. hardly any rust at all and the scales look to be in pretty good condition.

Thanks bouschie. I checked there and there was a bunch of information but I didn't see anything on one with this etching. Maybe I should specify that I meant specifically this razor with this etching.

Interesting that you should mention that Martin. I just came back to post that I did a search under just the term "Know Nothing" with no reference to the razor or maker and found references to the Know Nothing Movement. If this is in fact a presidential razor then it is likely related to the election of 1856 supporting ex-president Millard Fillmore as the candidate for the American Party, The party supporting the Know Nothing Movement. Here is a link to an article that I found on Wikipedia.

If that is what this etching refers to then that dates this razor at no later than 1859 and likely years earlier.
