Thanked: 0One more razor to identify
Hello again. Today one more old razor arrived. It seems to be English, but the label really puzzles me. The seller doesn't know anything about it's origin. After 2 days of searching on the internet, I couldn't find anything about this razor. The scalis is made out of horn. Scale wedges is from plumbum (lead). It's box is really old and delighted, the text is barely visible. I am posting pictures.
I will be really thankful if you can help me identify it!

Mountstephen was a cutlery retailer and gunsmith in the town of Torquay in Devon in the 1880s and 90s. In 1889 he advertised "Razors which ensure Easy shaving 1/- to 5/-". Whether he ground them himself or had them made in Sheffield is unclear - I think the latter most likely.
He is last heard of in newspaper ads in Dec 1910 - the razors were priced up to 7/6 by then.Last edited by Maladroit; 01-30-2020 at 08:23 PM.
